Crime, a General Statement I have always supported measures that are tough on those who break the law, but the importance of rehabilitation can not be forgotten. I believe this should be the first course of action, but clearly there are some people who are not receptive to rehabilitation and continue to commit crimes. In these instances the courts and individual state legislatures have determined the legal forms of punishment, and in some jurisdiction, the death penalty is one legal option.
